These effects look weird without any character model, but can't help it unfortunately. They were made for an ice based character so with each effect I was trying to keep it cold :P He was also pretty heavy, so most of the impacts he's causing are rather a big thing.
Same as with all other effects from this collection, it was a concept phase, so I was trying to focus on developing an idea rather than a polished product, so keep in mind that textures and final look is not finished here :P
Almost all of the materials made for those effects are using unlit cutoff shader, which make them really easy to render (huge adventage of stylized effects). 
Especially ultimate attack was fun to make as my first version was actually much smaller, though our art coordinator said: "It's totally epic! However make it 3 times bigger!" so I did xD (was good feeling vibes of Final Fantasy effects in those).
