This one has a funny story to the time I've spent on learning it. Point Cache are things I already know about for a horrendously long time and I truly wanted to create some pleased looking logos or 3D objects with them. They are also fairly simple! Probably one of the easiest things to do with VFX Graph.
So why it took me so long to learn it? Well... no documentation at all. VFX Graph was pretty new couple years ago and so Unity didn't make a proper documentation on everything yet and also there were not many people playing with it, so I couldn't find any resources on what I wanted to do.
I learnt that you can accomplish effects like those by using either Point Cache or Signed Distance Fields. There were ways to bake them in Houdini or some other programs, but I didn't have them, so I was trying to look for something else and one day I randomly stumbled on not really that hidden option: Unity -> Window -> Visual Effects -> Utilities -> Point Cache Bake Tool...
Ye, it was that simple XD It's the same with SDF, there is a baker in the same place.
